Ian Juliano

Ian Juliano


Ian has significant experience in the Healthcare IT and data analytics sectors. Prior to Excel he was CEO of HomecareCRM (HCRM), a census growth platform for the Post-Acute (PAC) industry, with clients that included Amedisys, VITAS, Golden Living, Consulate and HCR ManorCare. During his tenure, Ian led HCRM to a doubling of recurring revenue within five quarters, and engineered the successful sale of HCRM to SigmaCare, a VC-backed PAC IT provider. Prior to HCRM he was EVP of Corporate Development for Brightree, the largest software provider to the Durable Medical Equipment market. At Brightree he led the acquisition of CareAnyware, a SaaS-based Home Health and Hospice EMR, to expand Brightree’s reach into those markets. Prior to Brightree Mr. Juliano was CFO of CRE Secure, a VC-backed e-commerce platform, which was acquired by ControlScan.

Ian also spent over 15 years in senior Corporate Development roles, including Certegy (now Fidelity National Finance) and West Corporation, where he led over $1 billion in M&A bids, closing nearly half, in the Healthcare IT and Fin Tech industries. His early career began at Price Waterhouse.

Through the University of Pennsylvania Dual Degree Program, Ian earned Bachelor degrees in Business and Psychology from the Wharton School and the College of Arts and Sciences, respectively. He has an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and earned academic honors at both institutions.
Jim McDevitt

Jim McDevitt


Responsible for Finance, Marketing, Customer Success and Sales, Jim is a seasoned finance and operations executive in the Healthcare IT industry. Prior to Excel he was the CFO of Navicure, A SaaS-based healthcare billing and payment solution provider. During his 7-year tenure, Navicure grew from $26 M in revenue to $104 M in revenue and successfully sold to Bain Capital. During his time with Navicure he received the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s CFO of the Year award.

Prior to Navicure, Jim was President and CEO of Authoria, Inc, a SaaS delivered talent management software solution company. Jim was also the COO of CDC Global Services, an enterprise software applications provider, and the CFO of Clarus Corporation (NASDAQ: CLRS), a publicly traded Internet based B2B e-commerce solutions provider.

Jim has an MBA from Bentley University and a B.A. in Accounting from Bentley University.
Ted Tyree

Ted Tyree

Chief Technology Officer

Ted Tyree joined Excel Health in 2015 as the Chief Technology Officer. Within the first 3 months of joining Excel, he launched our flagship product, a SaaS web portal presenting data from over 4.6 billion data records and 300 million Medicare claims. Ted has over 20 years of experience as a software engineer and technology leader. During his career, he has designed and delivered mission critical systems to fortune 500 organizations such as Verizon, Comcast, PWC and AT&T. Prior to Excel, Ted was the CTO at Delta Community Supports, a multi-State provider of support care for persons with Intellectual Disabilities, serving 2 non-profit organizations and over 500 employees.

Ted earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester. He is also certified in LEAN Six Sigma.
Norbert Hudak

Norbert Hudak

Chief Strategy Officer

Norbert joined Excel Health as the SVP of Sales and Marketing in 2016, where he launched the company’s sales and marketing efforts and guided its growth through 2017. In 2018 as Chief Marketing Officer, Norbert developed Excel Health into an thought leader through various white papers and publications that benefit the homecare industry. As Chief Strategy Officer he is developing new markets for Excel Health. He is a highly resourceful and solutions-focused executive leader & change agent with 20-plus-year portfolio of success driving strategic, data driven decisions and brings that passion to Excel Health. Previously, he ran marketing and business development at data-driven consumer products companies ranging from $30M to $200M in revenue.

Norbert earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management in marketing and Finance and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from University of California, Berkeley.
Jessica Chew

VP of Marketing

Jessica Chew is a seasoned healthcare marketing executive who is responsible for architecting and executing the company’s go-to-market strategy, which includes expanding the number of providers and markets it serves and growing its product portfolio to include new software solutions for post-acute care business development teams. Prior to joining Excel Health, Jessica served in various leadership roles at Greenway Health, an EHR and practice management solutions company serving the acute care industry, and Red House, a B2B marketing agency serving healthcare providers and technology companies. Jessica earned her Bachelor of Journalism in Publication Management from the University of Georgia.
Andy Powell

Andy Powell

VP of Customer Success

With nearly 20 years in the technology sector, Andy is a veteran of customer experience. Prior to Excel Health, he spent 11 years with VersionOne, growing the company from a startup into a leader in cloud-based software development planning solutions. Along the way he drove innovation across the entire customer lifecycle in roles that included Product Manager, Director of Solution Engineering, Product Evangelist, and VP, Customer Experience. During the last 4 years as VP, Customer Experience, Andy established the customer success organization and led the effort to drive product adoption and retention.

Andy has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Notre Dame and proudly supports the Fighting Irish.
Tyler Rardin

VP of Sales

Tyler has spent the last 7 years working in various sales leadership roles at Ingenious Med, an Atlanta-based healthcare technology company. Since joining, he’s played an integral role in helping the company grow into a market leader with over 50,000 end users. His recent focus has been on leading a cross departmental team to develop and execute go-to-market strategies across some of the country’s largest health systems.

Tyler is an Atlanta native, graduating from The University of Alabama with a BS in Finance. He currently lives in Atlanta with his wife and two dogs. He’s a huge Alabama football and Atlanta Falcons fan. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, mountain biking, traveling and spending time with his family.

Tom Maxwell

Tom Maxwell

CEO, Maxwell Healthcare Associates

Tom Maxwell is an experienced professional with specialized expertise in homecare and hospice technology and a commitment to the healthcare community. Tom is currently the CEO of Maxwell Healthcare Associates and CEO of Maxwell Investment Partners. He also serves as a Strategic advisor and Board Member to Enclara Pharmacia and Excel Health Group. Tom is also part owner and Operating Partner to Your Therapy Source. Most recently, Maxwell held the position of Chief Strategy Officer and chair of the Clinical and Financial Advisory Boards at Homecare Homebase, the industry’s leading electronic medical record (EMR).

Tom also served as Chief Operations Officer at Homecare Homebase for seven years. Prior to this, he was director of Customer Services for the Ambulatory Physician Office and Electronic Medical records at GE Healthcare, and vice president of Implementation and Customer Services for Millbrook/GE Healthcare.

Recognized for his success in innovating in the field of healthcare technology, Tom brings additional insights from a decade of work as a Navy Hospital Corpsman where he trained hospital staff and provided direct medical treatment.

In addition, he served as a technical advisor to the Alliance for Home Health Quality and Innovation technology workgroup, is an active member of the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) Homecare Technology Association, and has written a number of presentations and articles focused on technology and healthcare.

He studied Management Information Systems, with Special Recognition, at Park University, while serving as a Navy Fleet Marine Force Hospital Corpsman where he was awarded two Navy Accommodation Medals, three Navy Achievement Medals, one Army Achievement Medal and the National Defense Medal. He served on the Board of Directors for the Trophy Club Wounded Warriors Association, and continues to be an advocate for many of the wounded warriors programs throughout the country.
S. Hart Williford

S. Hart Williford

S. Hart Williford is currently Chairman Emeritus of Ingenious Med, where he previously served for eight years as it’s CEO. With more than 30 years experience in the information technology industry, he has a proven track record of managing and scaling companies through periods of rapid expansion. Since joining Ingenious Med in 2008, the company has grown more than twenty fold in revenue, employees and resources. Prior to joining Ingenious Med, Hart held several other senior executive-level positions at leading companies including IBM, AT&T, VeriSign, NCR, Kirchman Corporation and Morris Technology. Hart has had significant experience leading software and service companies; in May 1999 he joined H.O. Systems and served as President until he sold the company to VeriSign in February 2002. While at VeriSign, he continued to oversee the company’s operations as General Manager and Senior Vice President of Wireless Services. Over this five year period, the company became known for excellent service and its revenues grew over seven hundred percent. In addition to H.O. Systems, Hart has led four additional software solution companies through periods of explosive profitable growth. Prior to joining Ingenious Med, Hart served on the board and eventually joined Memorial University Medical Center as Senior Vice President with responsibility for its cancer institute, information technology, marketing and strategic planning, foundation and office of sponsored programs, business development and physician relations and recruitment. Memorial is a two-state academic medical center with US $800 M+ revenue. Hart and his wife Dee live in Atlanta and have two grown children, Ken and Katherine. They attend St. Martin in the Fields Episcopal Church and Hart currently serves on the Advisory Board of Georgia Technological Institute’s Collegeof Computing.
Mark Buffington

Mark Buffington

Mark is co-founder and CEO of BIP Capital, Atlanta's most active venture capital firm. In addition, he has co-founded three successful companies over the course of his career.

Since founding BIP Capital in 2006, he has led investment rounds in more than 25 companies in a number of market verticals -- including Healthcare IT, Digital Media, Ed Tech, Enterprise Software, and Fin Tech. Notable exits include Vendormate, Ingenious Med, and Shareholder InSite. Most-recently, he pioneered a new business model in the wealth management space that led to the creation of Buckhead Investment Partners, one of the fastest growing wealth management firms in the country currently managing over $700 million in assets.

He serves on the Board of Directors of several companies, including AchieveIt, Huddle, mLevel, PlayOn! Sports, and UserIQ. He also serves on several nonprofit boards, including KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools, the Georgia Tech College of Computing and the Board of Trustees for Alexander-Tharpe Fund (Georgia Tech Athletic Endowment).

Mark graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology and has an MBA from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.
